Event Details

The 2022 Blitz Build is Lubbock Habitat for Humanity's biggest event. The local Habitat construction staff and up to 1,200 volunteers will attempt to build three affordable Habitat homes in 12 days. Homeowners are already being selected to live in these homes and will be working beside volunteers during the Blitz. This event is fun, fast paced, exciting, and truly fulfills the mission of Habitat for Humanity; bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

• September 5-15:
  • Morning Shift: 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Afternoon Shift: 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m.
• September 16:
  • Morning shift (8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) with lunch celebration to close out the 2022 Blitz Build.

Sign-up Information

Registration has begun and you can sign-up now through September 16. Upon completing the sign-up form, volunteers will receive a QR code closer to time to complete their application and waiver and all details about the event including directions.

Additional Information

Volunteers must be 18 years old and willing to do construction. Skilled and unskilled volunteers are welcome, and some volunteers are needed for logistics as well such as serving food, cleaning, etc. All volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, and sports drink each day. A free shirt is available for each volunteer as well while supplies last. Groups are encouraged to sign up and work together all twelve days if they can, but any time they can give is appreciated. In addition to volunteer manpower, Lubbock Habitat could still use donations of cash, food, and tools.
